DIY Drum Bearing Conversion Kit

Our DIY Drum Bearing End Support Conversion is the perfect upgrade for the home enthusiast looking to reduce gearbox friction, improve serviceability, and extend the working life of their Warn 8274 and 8074 winches.

The factory bronze bush design can suffer from wear over time, allowing the drum and gearbox components to run out of alignment. This can increase friction, reduce efficiency, and place additional stress on the motor, gearbox, and internal straight-cut gears.

This conversion replaces the factory-style support with a bearing-supported design, helping the drum rotate more freely while maintaining improved alignment under load.

With two weld-in stub sizes available to suit the most common drum internal diameters, this kit provides a solution for approximately 95% of Warn 8274 and 8074 winches.
