Brakeshaft Cap for Warn 8274

Our 316 stainless steel brakeshaft caps are made to fit factory Warn brakeshafts removing the potential for the circlip to fly off under high or shock loading.

The factory circlip is a very well know issue on Warn brakeshafts causing massive destruction to winches and in some cases vehicles due to the circlip coming off when loaded up, which in turn causes the main brake assembly to part with the winch at the same time. 

You will drill and tap you brakeshaft with an M10 thread. Some shafts can be extremely difficult to do, so you may need to see a machine shop.

 Whilst we try to make these work on every shaft, small machine tolerance differences between manufacturers means some shimming may be required for your application.
