316 Stainless Steel Warn Brakeshaft Cap

Designed to eliminate one of the most common failure points on factory Warn brakeshafts, our 316 stainless steel brakeshaft cap securely retains the brake assembly and replaces the factory circlip arrangement.

The factory circlip has long been recognised as a weak point on Warn brakeshafts. Under high loads or shock loading, the circlip can dislodge, allowing the brake assembly to separate from the shaft. This failure can result in extensive damage to the winch and, in some cases, damage to the recovery vehicle itself.

Manufactured from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, our brakeshaft cap provides a far more secure retention method, giving you added confidence when your winch is working at its limits.

Installation

Installation requires the end of the factory brakeshaft to be drilled and tapped with an M10 thread. Some factory shafts are exceptionally hard and may require machining by a qualified workshop.

Important Information

Due to small machining tolerance differences between Warn and aftermarket brakeshaft manufacturers, minor shimming may be required to achieve the correct fitment in some applications.
